To be eligible for FAMIS or FAMIS Plus, your child must: 1) live in Virginia, 2) be under the age of 19, 3) be a U.S. citizen or a qualified legal immigrant 4) Have a family income within the FAMIS limit. Full Circle Grief Center is a non-profit organization committed to supporting grieving children and their families as they move through the healing process. They offer the only comprehensive grief resource center in The Richmond area at no cost to the families that they serve. Their goal is to create a compassionate place for children and their families to find ongoing support and resources, learn effective coping and communication skills, and discover meaningful wasy to remember their loved ones. The services that they offer consist of Hands on Healing Groups (for children and teens ages 3 to 18), Community Outreach, Remembrance Programs, Individual Counseling and Educational Services. Financial Aid Advising Anyone who will attend college, community college or technical school next year must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in order to receive financial aid for their education after high school. Other forms may also be required. Meeting filing deadlines is critical to obtaining the most financial aid possible.Our school has a GRASP financial aid advisor, Mrs. Brenda Jackson, who is a free and confidential resource to help with this process. There are three ways to make an appointment with GRASP.

- Child & Family Services: Works with children 3-13 years who have had serious emotional and/or behavioral problems over an extended period of time; delivers services primarily in the community and/or the family's home, and provides a comprehensive array of services that include Case Management, Psychiatric Services, Outpatient Services, Crisis Intervention, Intensive In-Home Services and Groups.
- Court Treatment Team: Works with adolescents who are exhibiting high risk behaviors and/or are involved with juvenile justice system; provides Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Services; provides brief case management, crisis intervention and assessment of youth placed in the Henrico and James River Dentention Center; targets youth with conduct disorder, opposition, truancey, substance abuse, poor family relationships and other issues; focuses on engaging the entire client system and family
- Adolescent Services: Works with adolescents 14-18 years with mental health and/or substance abuse issues; provides comprehensive mental health and substance abuse evaluations to determine with services are most appropriate for the adolescent; provides individual, family, group counseling and case management services which address multiple issues facing adolescents, invluding mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD and others; Intensive Outpatient Program is offered to increase teen's awareness of the impact of their drug use and assist parents in finding ways to motivate and support teens in achieving a drug-free lifestyle; the outreach program provides gender-specific support gorups, mentoring, job readiness and employment support, recreational activities and cultural enrichment. - Parents and students may make an appointment through their school counseling office to meet with your school’s GRASP financial aid advisor. Do you prefer a Saturday appointment? Join us at the Library (Richmond Public Main Library 101 East Franklin St. Richmond, VA 23219). GRASP financial aid advisors will be available for private, confidential, hour long appointments to complete the FAFSA, the CSS profile, and answer questions about college financial aid and scholarships.Be sure to bring both the student’s and the parent’s financial records (most recent tax return, W-2 forms/ pay stubs, bank account information, investment information) as well as Social Security number, driver’s license (if any), and alien registration card (if not a U.S. citizen). Bob volunteers as the GRASP financial aid advisor at the GRASP office in Innsbrook. He is a Certified Financial Planner and has been in the financial services field for 30 years. With two sons who have successfully navigated the college process, Bob wants to help other families and their students realize their goals for continuing their education.
